Music Review • CrazySexyCool is the album that made history for TLC, making them the first female group in history to be awarded diamond status in album sales (10+ million). It’s still mind blowing that after all those album sales, they still had to file for bankruptcy.

Regardless of financial struggle, this album wouldn’t know what the word struggle means with the back to back hits they brought us. From the “if your man don’t do it, someone else will” anthem Creep (Left Eye’s least fav TLC song) to the socially conscious Waterfalls. Left Eye always said Waterfalls was her favorite TLC song because her verse was inspired by a rainbow she saw on the way to the studio from rehab, which are also the lyrics inscribed on her casket. (R.I.P.)

I can honestly say this is one of the few albums that had NO skips, including the interludes. They had features from Puff Daddy, Jermaine Dupri, Busta Rhymes and Andre 3000, so this album was destined to be a classic.
